Skyline Creation: Natura Luna Divina
Role: Digital Matte Painter | Client: Iconoclast Brasil
The Goal
For the final pack shot, I needed to provide a expansive, photorealistic São Paulo skyline that could serve as the perfect backdrop for the product. The objective was to create a city environment that felt both massive and intimate, reflecting the specific architectural character of São Paulo while ensuring the product remained the hero of the frame.
The Workflow
I built this environment by stitching together multiple photographic elements of the São Paulo skyline into a wide, panoramic master backplate. This allowed for a much more detailed and controlled background than a standard location plate would have provided. I focused on achieving a perfect "golden hour" lighting transition that would complement the vibrant colors of the Natura Luna bottle, delivering a final high-fidelity asset that integrated seamlessly into the high-end commercial pipeline.
The Real Challenges
Architectural Variety and Scale: Capturing the specific "feel" of São Paulo requires a carefully curated mix of buildings. I had to ensure the scale of the structures in the background was perfectly balanced against the foreground product—creating a sense of immense urban depth without cluttering the shot.
Lighting Synchronization: The success of a pack shot depends on the harmony between the product and its environment. I spent a lot of time matching the soft, warm atmospheric haze of the city to the lighting on the bottle, ensuring the digital cityscape felt physically present and shared the same sunset-lit air.
Panoramic Precision: Building a seamless panorama from multiple sources requires a sharp eye for vanishing points and color consistency. I had to ensure that the entire backplate was technically sound and ready for the high-resolution demands of a national commercial campaign.
